Yesterday you said you were going to pack your lunch, plan for dinner, and another day goes by and you're running through a drive thru or picking up something on your way home. There never seems be enough time in the day.
The best thing you could do... plan ahead! Plan ahead each weekend for the upcoming week. Make out your grocery list, and even break into two shopping trips during the week for more fresh meat and produce.
An easy tip is to make anything you can on Sunday and say Wednesday to at least get ahead for your lunch. For example, bake or grill extra meat, vegetables and even pasta/rice to help you have lunch options for the week. We all know it is so easy to wake up the morning of, either wake up late, the kids need you, or you're just not in the mood, and you end up with a fast food lunch. Plastic, microwavable containers are an excellent option to prepare and package your lunches ahead of time. Sunday night pack for Monday-Wednesday, and Wednesday night for Thursday-Saturday. No more excuses, and use spices, vinaigrettes and healthy sauces to give yourself different variations. You will become more creative the more you prepare ahead of time.
Better yet, get your family involved to motivate you more, and to help teach them excellent habits they will take with them throughout life.
